Yeah I've tried that Airfix. Boy that was fun.i just want a new 1/48 Blackburn Buccaneer !
Tanmodels are about 3 years behind schedule for their's
refuse to pay over the odds for Airfix's old pretty rubbish kit
Try to find a Me163 Komet in 1/48, I'm amazed its out of production for many years! They sell very expensive on EBay.
Definitely someone should issue an updated Privateer.
Despite some cries that the hobby is dying, I actually believe we are in a golden age, with airplanes being kitted that where dreams only 5 or 10 years ago. So why are there no mass produced, plastic kits of the:
1) Arado Ar 234 A, the type that lacked a proper undercarriage and took off on a wheeled sled and landed on skids. Peddinghaus Decals even made a sheet of decals for this version in 1/72 with seemingly no actual kit being available. (It apparently was smaller than the B, not having to accommodate retractable landing gear.
2) Consolidated B-32 Dominator, I mean the type actually was used in combat! Not to mention the "what if?" possibilites (if your into that), and before you say too big, they kitted the B-36!
3) Vickers Warwick, actually served in WWII, 846 produced, basically a cooler version of the Wellington...much cooler.
4) Focke-Wulf Fw 187 Falke, sure the two seat version has a couple of companies produce it I. Kit for, but what about the first, single seat version? That would be nice, no?
What about you? Agree? Disagree? What can you argue that should be made, scale not withstanding.
Yes, by Special Hobby Kit No. 48-144 US$ 58+/-A 1/48 scale Hampden would be nice !
is there a 1/48 Maryland kit ?
