I would like to get any information on Canadian fighter pilot Willie McKnight who was lost in WW2
on January 12th 1941 just inland of Gravelines France flying a Hawker Hurrcane in 242 Squadron RAF .He was flying in a Circus Offensive on a Mosquito Raid with fellow pilot P.O. M. Brown .They say he was shot down and his remains were never recovered .Has anyone tried to look for and recover his remains over the years .Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated .

I remember reading the work of someone who had been trying to piece his last flight together -- and based on the circumstances and testimony of German pilots he most likely fell into the sea.
