I have searched the forum and found only one fighter tactics manual, a US one from 1942

Does anyone have links to other manuals covering tactics and weapon delivery ?

Cheers ;)

I'm already subscribed to the Zeno channel, it's great.
It's not so much the information I want as to read the period manuals, I just enjoy documents like that for their own sake. As a piece of history if that makes sense.
As far as I can tell there is only one tactics manual on here, but my searching skills may not be up to scratch.

But thanks for the reply !

There was a great illustrated Luftwaffe manual ariund here somewhere...I tried looking, but it seems to have gotten buried over time, and the advanced search feature isn't the greatest...

The 8th AF Fighter Command put out "Long Reach, Deep Fighter Escort Tactics" published by VIII Fighter Command, 29 May, 1944.

I included verbatim the articles written by Hub Zemke, Everett Stewart and Edward "Jonesy" Szaniawski in my book "Our Might Always - History of the 355th Fighter Group" to present Group and Squadron Leadership tactics for the reader.

Excellent, thanks everyone.

I love the 'fibels' but thought they were only produced for tankers. Shame my German is so poor.

Like I say, I'm really interested in the manuals themselves more than the information they contain - although that's good too as well of course.

i know i have seen some...there was one german manual that had a picture of a woman and as you got closer she got uglier. it was to show range and identification, etc.

might sound funny but lurk around some of the ww2 gaming forums...like mission4today and storm or war, etc. those guys seem to find that stuff a lot of the time....and may even have it posted

Tried your advice and right away I found 5 or 6 manuals, some US and some RAF, thanks for that

those are good sites for getting some info. those guys are serious about thier aircraft....often a tad too serious....but they do come up with some real jems from time to time.
