I remember seeing aircraft at the airfield when I was a kid, some 60 odd years ago. All gone now, melted down for scrap.

Nice. Have seen most of those pics before. The Asplins Garage fenceline was made of Hudson flaps, and the Corsair was rescued and still flies today.
