WWII US made spotters model of a British Royal Air Force Short Sterling bomber. Molded plastic injected. Dated 1942 with copyright. These spotters models were made for pilots and Flak personel to help them recognize friends and foe. Length : 37 cm Wingspan : 43 cm Heigth : 4,5 cm.

I have three of these old ID models : a Beaufighter, MiG 3 and an FW-187. I've had them since I was a kid in the '40's and they were all
made in 72nd scale. It seems to me that they are made from what we called "hard rubber" rather than injected plastic. They originally
came from a glider training base near my old hometown in Arkansas.

It is not a Sterling. It is a Stirling. Sterling is a reference to currency for example in England the currency is the Pound Sterling.

Quite right, Stirling is also a city in Scotland from which the aircraft takes its name.
