Your opinion sought on painting fw190

I hope you can help me. I'm wondering how far I should go with coats of paint. Should I do another light coat of rlm75? It looks like rlm74 looks good but not entirely sure. The intention is to develop depth and tonal variation with painting alone.

I'd prefer not to post shade and I want to try some oils or pastels post painting. What do you suggest?

This is an fw190A6 so I'd like to represent it as medium to heavy usage.

It's a matter of taste but I would do more coats. I've never been a fan of excessive preshading.

Hi Wildsau,

First off- it's better than what I could do, but I'd agree with Crimea_River about the pre-shading. It's showing through too much. Another couple of light coats would do the job. The other thing is that your two top colours are very similar in look, particularly on the end of the right wing, and extreme tip of the left wing, which looks very monotone.

Yes I know why these 2 colours are like that maybe the pots are getting old. I'd that a thing? I want to try the mr colour lacquer paint and see how that goes I've been using the aqueous range up till now.

Preshading is a strange thing it's a fine line between looking effective and just hiding it with too many coats.
