Shown here is the second production Spitfire HF.Mk.VII, BS142), in September 1942 just before it went to the High Altitude Flight based at Northolt. Points to note are the gloss finish, new wheel hubs, and the SBA (Standard Beam Approach) aerial under the fuselage. In January 1943, it went to No.124 Sqd and was coded ON-H.
