gents,
once again i must ask the experts for help. :)
am looking for a clear picture or drawings of a unique over and under RP3 installation as used by beaufighters during the malayan emergency (operation firedog).
i've scoured both the SAM books on the beaufighter and the mossie and...
thanks to everyone for the information.
hope to translate the WNr and tactical codes from that SKG10 wurger into a picture, then hopefully into a 1/48 or 1/32 scale model.
the 85 SQN mossie that took it down might be easier to find though :)
hate to sound like broken vinyl... but thanks...
any info as to which SKG10 fw 190a5 this was? any info on where in england it went down and the NF Mossie that took it down would be great! a 'hunter and hunted' build would be mind blowing.
thanks! i forgot i have this book!!! it is the picture on p.143 of the A5 in distemper that got me thinking of making a model in the first place. senior moment coupled with the information overload of the web. :)
gents,
would like to ask if anyone has information if the fw 190f8 was used by SKG10. i've only the internet as reference and have found info showing the use of fw190a4/a5's. it is confusing as well that SG10 operated in the east, around the same time.

still no leads on invasion stripes though for HS 158.
Gentlemen,
Am building the Tamiya Swordfish Mk.II and am contemplating using the kit decals. The a/c i want to build is HS 158, Black B <some would say Red B :)> as she was flying off of HMS Tracker in 1943.
Would this particular a/c still be with the squadron when it was seconded to Coastal...
thanks for the quick reply gents.
likely will be doing DU-H <a8-??>or DU-K <a8-55>.
have some 24" RAF codes in the stash. my question is this... were the codes white, sky or gray?
hmmm....
again thanks and btw ozhawk... pretty beau. cheers!

information is conflicting regarding its posting to a certain field called, "sangi sangi" or "sanga sanga" and as to the location of said field... one is supposed to be in the philippines and the...
