Well, to make a long story, I'd bought this Ventura set, V3251, in 1/32 from Aviation Megastore, until that I saw that they've refunded the money for it...
So, if any of you see this bird, or more correctly the decals for it in 1/32, Messerschmitt Bf 109G-14/AS,
Oblt. Ernst Scheufele, Staffelkapitan 14/JG 4, Finsterwalde Germany, October 1944...
(Model is by Randy Lutz)
It'd tremendously appreciated, if you gave us a howler...
Found a close-up photo showing the aircraft from the "13" forward and the name below the cockpit is a little too far forward. The model is also lacking a mast behind the cockpit. Holler and I'll send you the photo.
That looks like a Claes Sundin profile which is why I'll accept the fuel triangle appearing to be over the code number I guess the triangle was masked when the number was applied.
Cheers
Steve
I think the odd appearance of the tail is caused by the rudder that is attached higher than is should have been. I have used the Photoshop for cutting out of the rudder and moving it a little bit down. The difference is noticeable although it is still looking a little bit incorrect methinks.
You know when you have those moments....did I get it or?
Just had it with my Hasegawa 1/32 Bf 109G-14/AS and the decals for Scheufele's 'Black 13', so I had to dig it out!!
Needless to say....
I just noticed that the above profiles aren't identical, there's some differences....would this mean two different G-14/AS machines or just two artists different approaches or information?
The tails are different and so is the engine cowling and oil cooler....
