Glenn, I did the single seater a few builds back, winter war. I loved it. I'm hopeful for a repeat performance.

Nice one Don. I've never really had an interest in Russian WW2 aircraft, but one in a 'foreign' air force will be an interesting change.

With the indulgence of the group I would like to add the Eduard interior update kit to the build. I bought two of these kits which came without decals on ebay, seems they also came without instruction but I have had a couple of sets scanned and emailed to me. I should be ready to start soon.

Eduard came in today. The last Il-2 I did was an early single seater and I used RLM 02 because that was what it called for in the instructions. Wojtek called me on it but left it there. This one also calls for it but I looked harder and I am using Tamiya Sea Grey. It is a close match for Eduard and it seems to me closer to what I can find for the correct color, and, Hell it was the Soviet Union in a bid at war. I don't think that anyone had a color match set from one can to the next, My story and I'm sticking to it. So a little paint moved. I did it brush instead of air brush.

So it looks like I'll be out of hock for a while. I passed my CDL today (Commercial Drivers License) and will be heading out to truck driving school soon. Then I'll be driving for ten days on, two days off. Gotta figure how to take my hobby on the road.
