It was time to build some RAF Night Fighters. Always loved the Beaufighter & and Blenheim in the NF scheme. The Tamiya Beau is a wonderful kit and built several. The Airfix Blenheim is full of detail . Lots of parts that require some dry fitting befor gluing

Based on the photos above, probably Interior Green and I suspect no one will criticise if you do them that colour. It might have been different on the night fighters though. I have only seen B & W photos of night fighter Beaufighters.

So on the the entire Beau engine is black including the cylinders and crank over ? or is it just the center section black and aluminum for the cylinder heads ?

The same is likely with the Blenheim's Mercuries as well. These photos show a Canadian Fairchild Bolingbroke, but the casings are also black.

The same on this flyable Blenheim I, although it too is a modified Bolingbroke.

I see this with interest. I just started this same kit build last week, it looks like a wonderful kit, easy to build out of the box. Just what I wanted to get started building again after almost 20 years.

What paint are you using for the interior? It looks pretty close to the chip that I had (maybe still have it). The chip that I had came from the wheel well of a Beaufighter, the one at Rockcliff, before restoration.
