now the fuselage is together, i tried a trial fit to the wings....and rear section of the wing/fuselage section would not settle together. The rear bulkhead sits on the additional strip that fits to the lower section of the wings, rather odd that this would be a problem, checked my fit and the instructions and everyhing is where it should be??
Easy fix though...went to the high tech equipment box and nail clippers solved that problem...
also added the section behind the headrest with a couple of holes drilled for good measure.

Flashback to many years ago when I first built the kit shortly after it was released. My problem area as well and I believe everyone else's Wayne. I'm thinking I had a problem with the flaps in that area as well as I was going to build mine with the flaps up and they wouldn't seat properly. May have been a wing/fuselage fit problem but I can't remember.

Had a similar problem with my ICM model. You'd think they'd make the effort to do a trial build and fix the molds before mass producing.

I did check some other builds but this issue was never mentioned....very strange!

I should be spending more time on the Whirlwind, but I keep picking this one up and doing bits...
Rudder assembly fitted, lower fuselage lights, lower scoop assembled and thinned the rear edge of the radiator covers too,
