Crammed in lots of scrap styrene to bulk it out

A nice attempt to reshaping of the top of the fuselage. But, if I were you I would use the part for the rear top that comes with the kit. All you would have to do, would be to correct the fuselage at the area of the dorsal turret and just behind the cockpit canopy. It could be done either by using your way or vacuforming with a wooden former.

just to add, that piccie of the prototype was taken after it had first flown; K8310 was silver overall at the time of its first flight. The photos of it as a single-seater were taken on 13 August 1940 at the height of the Battle of Britain, when it was mocked up as an interim single-seat fighter in case Spitfire or Hurricane production was bombed out. Its competitor was the nifty wee Miles M.20. In the end, neither were needed.

Model's looking great as usual mate.
 
Dohh just realised I have forgotten to attach the arrester hook. One step forward and one back.
