Pretty simple job I cut the teardrop shape out of plasticard glued to wing then gently sanded the top edges. Then a smear of filler to blend it into the wing and photographed it.

At that point I should have left well alone but later I thought just a little bit more sanding and the inevitable happened I b*****ed one side up. I need to apply a bit more filler.

Sometimes the art of modelling is knowing when to stop.
 
I have been thinking my what if needs a name and in best British tradition it must be alliterative. It must also be a bird to match other FAA fighters.

So far best I can come up with is the Boulton Paul Bittern but a type of Heron that skulks around in the Reed's doesn't sound very warlike.
