I have made it harder for myself. I meant to glue the wing root butt joint to the fuselage and then add some packing strips of styrene to thicken the leading edge. I forgot how superglue loves to run along a joint
I need to decide do I leave the wing looking anorexic or try to split the joint. I have plenty of debonder so will soak the leading edge and see if it peels apart.
That went surprisingly easy, I smeared on Loctite debonder gel and left it for a bit. Then I worried at it with a scalpel and it popped open quite quickly.
I have rinsed it with water to get the debonder off just need to let it dry. Then I will warm the resin to try and get some of the kinks out and fill the gap with styrene.
The resin undercarriage legs looked terribly flimsy so I made some out of brass. Unfortunately one of the wheels is a bit wonky but the rest of this kit is so bad I have stopped worrying.
