For a giggle I decided to make ring and bead sights for the Lewis.

Made a start on the top surfaces. I wanted a colour like a sandy brown. I have mixed Vallejo 71.037 mud with 71.078 yellow 50/50 hard to say I have got it right till a couple of coats are on.

Got some colours on and the canopies. Starting to look like a plane and not a blob of wax left in the sunshine.

Been a real struggle to get this far. Sometimes you can work past a bad part but when the whole kit is a collection of bad parts. Anyway I think I have done as much as I can do.

Thanks I sort of lost heart with it halfway through and probably havent done as well as I would like on the final fit and finish.
