Assigned to National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics and designeated XB-17F for aerodynamic and performance testing.
W/O on the 4th of May 1946.
 
Curtiss C-46A-25-CU Commando 41-24713 in crash at Sookerating, India on the 30th of December 1943 due to engine failure.
Condemned on the 31st of December 1943.

22nd of September 1943:
Delivered from the Curtiss-Wright factory in Buffalo, NY.

18th of December 1943:
Assigned to ATC India-China Wing.

December 1943:
Damaged beyond repair in Sookerating, Assam, India after a takeoff accident following an engine failure.

31st of December 1943:
Condemned for salvage.

Douglas-Tulsa B-24E-1-DT Liberator 41-28413 crashed into side of canyon wall near Merna, Nebraska on the 29th of April 1944 while on flight from Chicago to Denver.
All 10 onboard killed.

Last Mission Flown on the 16th of August 1944.
Declared War Weary and salvaged on the 29th of May 1945 by BAD 3 at (RAF Langford Lodge Airfield) Station USAAF-597, Lough Neagh, Ireland.
