Transported supplies for the 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment on Mission 'Freeport', on the 7th of June 1944. Transported paratroopers of the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division to a drop zone near Overasselt, SW of Nijmegen, Netherlands on Operation 'Market', on the 17th September 1944. Towed a Waco CG-4A glider transporting men and materials for the 82nd Airborne Division to a landing zone near Groesbeek, Netherlands on Operation 'Market', on the 18th September 1944. TDY to Wethersfield (Station 170) on the 21st of March 1945. Transported British 13th Parachute Battalion paratroopers to a drop zone at the southern edge of the Diersfordt, three miles northwest of Wesel, Germany on Operation 'Varsity' on the 24th of March 1945. Returned to US on the 25th of September 1945. To RFC on the 25th of September 1945. NC32975 Spencer Airways on the 20th of January 1947. VP-YFD Spencer Airways (mispainted as VP-YFE) crashed Croydon, UK on the 25th of January 1947. Just after becoming airborne, the plane never gained altitude, overran the runway and crashed into a Ceskoslovenske Dakota.
Twelve of 23 onboard killed on the Spencer Airways none on the Ceskoslovenske. Loss of control by the captain of the Spencer Airways plane, who, when attempting to take-off a heavily loaded aircraft in poor visibility allowed it to become airborne in a semi-stalled condition.

Curtiss C-46F-1-CU Commando, 44-78713 (MSN 22536) leased by USAF to Nationwide Air Transport as N1669M in July 1948. Lease transferred to Resort Airlines in 1950 (on merger). Crashed on the 23rd of May 1953 near Des Moines, IA after structural failure during thunderstorm.
