Allotted 75 Sqn RAAF ex 1AD 08/03/42. Received E at 75Sqn ex 1AD 16/03/42. Coded "O". 23/03/42 F at 75Sqn. 24/03/42 u/s indefinitely. 07/04/42 allotted 5AD ex 75Sqn. 13/04/42 G at 75Sqn. 29/05/42 C at 75Sqn. 12/07/42 a/c write-off. 12/07/42 a/c failed to recover from dive. Accident 1050hrs 12/07/42 when aircraft failed to recover from dive at Marburg Qld. F/O F P G Harbottle was killed. 13/08/42 Rec at 3AD ex 75Sqn for conversion. 14/08/42 being converted. 19/08/42 conversion completed. Photo evidence shows this as a P-40E due to formation lights and camo.

Arrived in Australia 04/42,
Erected at Point Cook and Received at Rathmines 06/05/42.

Put into Service 14/01/43.
Served with the Seaplane Training Flight, later 3 OTU and 107 Sqn on 10/05/43. Coded JE-O.
Flown to Lake Boga VIC in 18/08/45, where the last 9 remaining Kingfishers were stored.
Issued to RAAF Antarctic Flight, 21/10/47.
Fitted with an engine pre-heater and painted yellow before issue to Wyatt Earp on 13/12/47.
This aircraft was used on the Australian Antarctic Expedition in 1947/48 to King George V Land aboard HMAS Wyatt Earp, formally HMAS Wongala.
It flew a total of 13 hours prior to departure and the remainder of the total 55 hours used for ANARE scouting the pack ice for its mother ship HMAS Wyatt Earp and serving the ANARE Antarctic Flight.
Returned to Point Cook on 31/3/48 and later transferred to Rathmines for storage and possible future use.
Eventually sold at auction on 21/1/53.

Damaged nose of aircraft, airframe, wing tip prop and starboard aileron during takeoff accident 02/02/43;
Served with 85 Sqn 25/02/43 to 29/04/43.
Went to 17 RSU for storage before transfer to the USAAF 30/4/43.
On 21/5/43 it was allotted to 24 Sqn but this was cancelled on 25/6/43.
Returned to USAAF 5th Air Force, 08/07/43.
Scrapped at Eagle Farm, near Brisbane Qld around 6/11/43.

Served with 83 Sqn 26/02/43 to 15/07/43.
Served with 82 Sqn 16/07/43 to 15/09/43.
Returned to the US 5th Air Force 20/09/43.

A58-13, F.VC, BS165, Spitfire.

Arrived in Australia on SS Hoperidge 23/10/42.Rec 1AD ex UK 29/10/42. Rec 54Sqn RAF ex 1AD 19/11/42. Accident 25/11/42 when aircraft crashed near Catfish Creek NSW following gycol fluid leak. Pilot, Sgt Reid RAF bailed out too late and was killed.The aircraft engine stopped with aircraft going into spin at 1500 feet before crashing in ball of fire. Rec 2AD ex 54 Sqn RAF 29/11/42.
