Pics 1 2 - Adding the fill/empty valves. Right now it's a gasbag with nipples (no mother-in-law jokes please).
Looks a little like a Picasso.
Pic 3 - My first work with Milliput. Sandbags and the ends for the fill/empty valve. I found the putty VERY stiff to work with. Is this the way it is or did I get an old box?

Great job Andy. Regarding Milliput; sometimes, it can be rather stiff to knead and work with, possibly just the 'batch'. My current box is a bit like that - hard to get going at first. But, the more its' kneaded, and as it gets warmer from handling, the softer it gets. It won't get quite as soft as putty used in window fitting, but should be easier to handle and mould. To give a smooth surface for finishing, or help to mould it into position, or into cracks etc, just wet it slightly, or use the back of a scalpel blade, wet.

My bosses used to tell me to "think outside the box" never really knew how that applied to running restaurants, thought it should just be good food, drink and service at a decent profit. I guess I get it now !!!!

I got this idea from a buddy in the local club. Here's how he makes rope that will stay in whatever position you bend it.
Pic 1 - strip down a long piece of 18 gauge electrical wire, take three strands and put a loop in one end. Put that end in a vise or wrap around a nail.
Pic 2 - place an eye bolt in the chuck of your drill and tighten. put another loop in the other end of the wire and place in the eye. Run drill until the wire is coiled like a rope.
Pic 3 - flux the wire and run a beed of solder all along the length.
Pic 4 - paint the wire a light tan and use as needed.
