Working on the netting. Bending the soldered wire to get the right look and then gluing each knot is a pain, but the only way to get it to look right.

How do you display a dirigible ????

This will be displayed in a 15 X 30 box along with at least 3 other Hartman aircraft.

Pic 1 - the hardware for mounting to the background. The metal rods will go through the backboard and be bent and glued from behind. The clear rods will hold the gondola framework.

Pic 2 - the completed net. Lots of knots and lots of glue.

Pic 3 - the back piece of the box, painted up as a backdrop.

Pic 4 - Starting final assembly. Many more knots to come !!!!

Had a major setback on this project yesterday I DROPPED it. It can be repaired, just won't have any new pics 'til at least Sat. Work continues on the display case for all the Hartman aircraft. The ground part of the box is complete. I will be incorporating a hangar painting/decal on one side of the box and a golf course on the other side. Art's first few flights were from the Burlington Municiple Golf Course.
