Somehow the original poster ((not you Snautzer) missed that this photo is captioned 1916 rather than 1926. This particular aircraft is FF 33E HFT 884, which was delivered to the Imperial German Navy in September 1916. It has a trailing aerial powered by a small propeller located just under the observer's seat, visible inside the "O" of the word "Copy".
