A wise choice, there are no real replacement for the thunderbolt, certainly not the F35.

About two weeks ago, I was down at the dock when I heard a VERY loud jet engine noise approaching. Looked up and saw two A-10s at about 500ft or so fly by directly over head. They made a slow turn to the west flew over the Lake for a bit then turned back north. With all the trees could not see where they went after that, naturally no camera.

There's a few aircraft that have extremely unique engine sounds.

One, was the B-36 (very VERY loud) which is something lost to time and the other is the A-10's engines.

The C-5 is another that produces a one-of-a-kind sound!
