Well, I was born in the north (Groningen), which has a similar reputation in The Netherlands as the Southern states in the US. THat probably explanes it

That's an interesting little questionaire.
Taking the test as an English person, I expected to be closest to North Eastern as I think they have closer links to the Euro/British origins, but came out 39% Dixie which is higher than I'd expected.
Some of the answers would vary depending which part of UK we come from, so perhaps from Yorkshire we'd be more Dixie than a Londoner?
The 'toilet papering' and 'potato bug' were a new to me, I don't think we have either on this side of the Atlantic.
