April Fool!

:) Have a great day everybody!

You want an April's Fool Joke?

I (and about 100 others) was commissioned a 2Lt in the USAF on 01 APR 1980! Seriously! The group before us was commissioned on St. Valentine's Day, and our group was commissioned on April Fool's Day!

Even better, I retired on 01 MAY 1994....May Day, the Communist holiday.

The NZPAF (New Zealand Permanent Air Force) was officially renamed the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) on April 1st, 1937, too.
(The current state of it would certainly testify to that, no thanks to Defence cuts)

Thanks guys for all the comments, glad you liked it!

I was just trying to think of some thread starter for April Fools, something not too outrageous, but that sounded like it could be true! And since there are so many wrecks at the bottom of the Pacific from WWII, it could happen any day.

Thorlifter, here is the webpage of the 3 Zero's "rising" from the sea.

Howstuffworks "Mitsubishi A6M Zero"

It's got a large gallery of plane pictures, looks interesting.
