It's been quite a while since I've had the free time to build anything, so I decided with a few days off this summer, I'd throw together a little 1/72 Hellcat I've had in the stash. This is my first time to put overall gloss sea blue on anything, so there were some bumps in the road, but I'm fairly happy with the result. As you are all aware, the decals in the Academy kits are the weak link in the kits. I had to piece together nearly every decal as they all fell apart when transferring from the backing paper to the kit. I'm not the best photographer, so forgive the photo quality.

If ever in doubt about decals, give them a coat of acrylic varnish and allow it to dry before use.
