Adelaide Model Expo (2009)

[Matt308]

Yep that's a well deserved win.

[Airframes]

Sure is. That Buc is quite well done, but a bit 'raw' as matt stated. A young modeller perhaps? Must get my 1/48th Buccaneer out for nthe Cold War build methinks.

[Matt308]

Yeah kinda hard for me to criticize until I do better. I love that bird.

[Wayne Little]

Second place another Me262...

[Matt308]

Wonderful! The green off a bit? Or is that the flourescent lights.

[Catch22]

Very cool!

[Wayne Little]

and Third Place...F-86 Sabre

[rochie]

very neat.
question though were Aussie Sabres armed different to American ones ?
because the model looks like its only got two guns were they 20mm maybe ?

[Matt308]

Interesting, to this day I never noticed that the kangaroo in the wing roundels faced forward. Looks odd to me.

Looks odd to me too, though it's right. Their F/A-18s are like that as well. Very well done though!

[Gnomey]

Australian Sabres were re-engined with the Rolls-Royce Avon engine and armed with 2 x 30mm Aden Cannon according to Wiki (CAC Sabre - Wikipedia).

Nice model!

[Airframes]

Nice! I thought they were armed with a pair of 30mm Didgeridoos......

[Wildcat]

Great looking Sabre!

[Crimea_River]
