Nice! And yes, she was way ahead of her time, and, with updates, would still have been going now, and for some years to come. Bl**dy Brit Governments!

Good idea Matt. There are already decal sheets available for the kit, as 'What If's', and include markings for those Air Forces who wanted to equip with the TSR2, such as Sweden. Profiles in US colors would be nice!

Thought some would get a kick out of that one!:D

Short category....last one....Harrier

Nice! See what you mean about the 'screen though. It should also have a prominent black line of sealant around the base of the 'screen. Good to see some pics of this kit, as I'm just about to start on it for a mate, finished in the new Joint Harrier Force colours - one shade of grey overall, thankfully!

Airframes, before you put your decals on, check the location of the black arrow just aft of the fuselage roundel. I think that it is actually supposed to be at the exhaust nozzle end as an exhaust inclination reference pointing aft parallel to the thrust vector. I'll have to check. I know I've seen it there.

Ooops that is an inlet. I have seen that arrow on the aft nozzle and assumed the same. Here's some pics of what I'm talking about.

Yep, that's a NACA duct Matt, which should have a red border around it, with the words 'Fire Access', also in red. I know the markings you mean, which were angle indicators around the thrust nozzles. I've recently obtained a magazine which has some good colour shots, including detail ones, of the new colour scheme and markings. Just shows the state of our Forces over here - reduced to three squadrons of Harriers now, including Royal Navy, under the banner of Joint Harrier Force - or was it Farce!!??

Great pics Matt. The red border around the NACA duct is visible in the second pic, of the 3 Sqn bird, as is the black sealant/heat sink strip on the windscreen.

It's not on the model, but it's on the RAF Harrier GR9 in your pic. The black strip running along the base of the windscreen, where it joins the fuselage coaming. It's a sealant heat sink protector, far as I know, as you might find on a car windscreen, laminated into the glass.

Next category Dioramas...

Coincidentally kicking off with the Malta Spitfire....
