Thanks, Catch! Another data point! I would have bet not Just like modern transport airplanes having landing gear lockouts above a certain airspeed (e.g., 250knots)

That's a very nice 'Harry Tate'. hadn't noticed before, but an unusual design of inter-plane struts, with one attached to the ailerons.
