Here's my late Dad hanging out in the Culver PQ 14. Taking in 1945 in Jackson, Mississippi.
This was designed to be a gunner's target flown by remote control, but there as a set of basic instruments for pilots to use when ferrying these aircraft.

Welcome to the forums.
I wasn't sure if you were actually looking for more information on the serial number that you have as your subject, but if you were:
The full serial number was 43-44296.
It is hard to tell sometimes because sometimes the last digit of the year is also included in the serial number and sometimes it is not.
