Can we get together and finance our own AVG? There's folks out there what already got F-16s. We'd also need a mercenary SeaBee brigade to surreptitiously transform some innocuous roads into airstrips.

Leopard 2 with Kontakt ERA:

This was first reported/seen a few months back:

There's also a Non-Russian equivalent (though not in service in Ukraine):

The risk will be if the countries that have supported Ukraine during the war vanish once the war is won but the post war rebuild is still required. This is still quite a risk IMHO and one that I wouldn't be surprised to see China aim to stop in to fill the gap and thus gain further influence. Hence a reason to keep the support going post war.
No, as we have already seen, several EU based manufacturers are already teaming up with Ukraine.

Rebuilding Ukraine's infrastructure will be a joint effort via the EU, UK and U.S. - bridges, buildings, dams, power grid, roads and so on are going to be a priority.
This means companies will be on the list to bid for contracts and again, what has China offered Ukraine that the above mentioned has not?

The short answer is absolutely zero.

We can see clearly that Ukraine is not stupid, they know who their friends and allies are. This would hold true in war as in peace and I can be fairly sure that when this war is over and China approaches Ukraine with all sorts of deals and concessions, their answer will be the same as Ukraine gave Russia in the opening days of the war:
"Chinese ship, go f**k yourself"

This are Ukranian claims, so probably real numbers are less, but probably the proportions hold. We already discussed some time ago about the specific targeting of Russian artillery, but it seems that since the start of offensive action the destruction of Russian artillery has intensified. Most probably they are forced to reveal position while trying to stop Ukranian advances.
This are today's numbers reporting yesterday actions.

+530 men
+1 tank
+5 APVs
+35 (!) artillery pieces <======👍
+2 MLRS
+26 UAVs
Today's claims (looks like there was plenty of activity yesterday)
+790 men
+10 tanks
+20 APVs
+26 artillery systems <====== 👍
+5 MLRS
+1 AD system
+12 UAVs

- Some other things.

please add a short summary for us poor souls without a Twitter account as we are currently unable to access anything there.
Some Ukraine commentators are migrating out of Twitter to other platforms. I just found these two that I followed on Twitter.

If folks here find others, please let us know.

Russian officials and sources celebrated claims that Russian forces defeated small-scale Ukrainian landings in east (left) bank Kherson Oblast on July 1 as if they had won a major victory. Kherson Oblast Occupation Head Vladimir Saldo claimed that servicemen of the Russian "Dnepr" Group of Forces cleared areas near the Antonivsky Bridge on the eastern bank of the Dnipro River after special forces elements conducted a surprise landing on Ukrainian forces' rear positions overnight.[11] Saldo claimed that elements of a "Storm" detachment, the 61st Naval Infantry Brigade (Northern Fleet), the 126th Coastal Defense Brigade (22nd Army Corps, Black Sea Fleet), the 127th Reserve Brigade (likely a new reserve unit), and the 205th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade (49th Combined Arms Army, Southern Military District [SMD]) participated in the operation that decisively repelled Ukrainian forces from their position near Antonivsky Bridge. Saldo also claimed that Ukrainian forces no longer have any "bridgeheads" on the eastern bank, and a Kremlin-affiliated milblogger claimed that Russian forces were able to advance to the dacha areas near the Antonivsky Bridge after launching an Iskander ballistic missile at the bridge on June 30.[12] A Crimean-based Russian blogger also claimed that elements of the 7th Guards Mountain Air Assault (VDV) Division using T-72 tanks also participated in an attack against Ukrainian positions near the Antonivsky Bridge.[13] The Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) claimed that Russian forces eliminated a Ukrainian sabotage group that attempted to land on the island north of Oleshky (9km southeast of Kherson City) - likely referring to the Antonivsky Bridge area.[14] The Russian MoD also demonstratively awarded servicemen of the 80th Arctic Motorized Rifle Brigade (14th Army Corps, Northern Fleet) - a unit within the Russian "Dnepr" Group of Forces - for destroying Ukrainian military equipment in Kherson Oblast.[15] The Russian MoD also published an interview with the commander of the 80th Arctic Motorized Rifle Brigade who claimed that Russian forces fully restored their positions along the coast of the Dnipro River and along the islands and repelled all Ukrainian attempts to cross the river.[16] Russian sources notably did not provide any evidence that Russian forces regained control over coastal areas and many Russian sources reported that clearing operations near the dacha areas adjacent to the Antonivsky Bridge are still ongoing as of July 1.[17]

They claimed a lot on the past and approximately 95% (if not more) of those claims were bogus.
Plus Ukraine stationed lots of Artillery in the region and extensively mined the roads towards the bridge. Not even talking about the hordes of drones operating over land an water that would have spotted enemies from a long distance

Even if (and its a big IF) the Russian version is the truth. It took :-

a) Four brigades
b) plus Armoured units of another unit
c) plus at least one Ballistic Missile
d) plus elements of the 80th Arctic Motorized Rifle Brigade

To push back a small incursion, which isn't something to brag about. If they had stopped the incursion, then fair do's to the bragging rights.

But to basically admit that as a spoiling incursion designed to keep forces in the south, then it probably did what it was supposed to do, tie down a lot of the better Russian forces. Is to admit that Russia is dancing to Ukraine's tune, and that isn't good for Russia.

Finally, that's IF the Russian story is correct which I can take it we all have more than a little doubt about
