AND a significant amount of the US aid was also loans but many Americans prefer to ignore that as an inconvenient fact.

And as Thumpalumpacus Thumpalumpacus said D Denniss 's comment was not as a critique of all Americans though I would have said it is not even a critique of the vast majority of Americans .

D Denniss simply pointed out that some Americans cotton to a particular biased source. Other Americans cotton to opposing sources with similar bias.

I don't take Denniss's point hard because, in the words of Frank Herbert: "My son displays a general garment and you claim it's cut to your fit?"
