It's business, the Europeans are loans, the 350 billion that was given to Ukraine was given to a corrupt government with no accountability. So now the US is getting something back is basically how I understand it.
It's staggering how uninformed Americans are. Only 35% of our aid was a loan. If that's not true, maybe you should start wondering about the corruption claim as well….
AND a significant amount of the US aid was also loans but many Americans prefer to ignore that as an inconvenient fact.
And asThumpalumpacus said D Denniss 's comment was not as a critique of all Americans though I would have said it is not even a critique of the vast majority of Americans .
