Zelensky says no need to apologize after fiery exchange in White House. I agree 100%. He was fully justified in his position. Moreover, if he did apologise, the other guy wan't respect him any more....if anything even less.

It's pretty clear this was a set up. The Americans were doing, what we call in football, a one-two. It's tactics done by kids at primary in order to bully a weaker kid. Make sure you're the majority , two against one, and start bullying. The American's reaction later was that he let it proceed in order to "show what is going on". That also points at a pre planned attack.

That's the kind of rubbish we'll have to deal with the next 4 years unfortunately.

Some people forget that President Zelensky is an advanced practitioner if FAFO after being trained by Putin for the last tree years.

All the American "diplomats" succeeded in was:
  • proving that some Americans are ill mannered bully boys, and
  • raising more support for Ukraine, and
  • massively lowering Americas standing in the world, politically and diplomatically .

Fortunately the responses in support of Ukraine from so many Americans shows the average American has similar views on that circus as does the rest of the world and that the average American has honour and dislikes bullies.

I hear you, bud. I can't give full voice to my own opinions because of politics, and it's a little frustrating because to an extent it neuters the conversation -- but I totally understand the reason for the rules and support it because it keeps tensions from hurting the forum.
