Ukraine’s high-flying air power plans face turbulence

Running fleets of incompatible aircraft creates problems with logistics and pilot training, and Kyiv also faces cash issues.

Let's give Ukraine an old aircraft carrier we haven't scrapped yet. We say it's a floating tennis court/driving range and slip the Turkish government a twenty to look the other way.

While it sounds like a great idea, they would need air and surface assets to protect it, which at this point they are sadly lacking.

However, their Sea Baby fleet is growing and adapting and to be honest, scary as hell.

I hope the chatter is correct and Russia won't be able to make these in any meaningful numbers.

I have to say that at first glance it looks anything but a cheap throw away drone. It looks complex and sophisticated, things that Russia struggle to produce at the moment.

It would also become a prime target

Indeed, which is why I mentioned air and sea asset protection.

A typical USN Carrier group consists of an AEGIS cruiser, several frigates/destroyers, an undisclosed number of submarines as well as the carrier's air groups (fighters, ASW, etc.) which Ukraine absolutely lacks.

But as I mentioned, the evolution of the Sea Baby has brought the Ukrainian Navy into the realm of Sci-Fi:
A naval drone that acts as a carrier for attack drones.

You're right. We're gonna need an archery range too.

Then we'll have to add skeet shooting as well. Those flight decks are big.

Y'know, that's not the most implausible idea that's been proposed. I like it!!!!!
