Indeed. Ukraine's prewar population of 44 million would be about 25% men aged 18-40 years, or about 11 million potential fighting men. Of course the economy and industry must be run, but a UAF of over one million is likely, as the retired Russian colonel said below, start 0:56.

And then there's the women.

That woman is a dogmatic idiot. The General, on the othr hand, has a pragmatic view of the situation.

And why is he still alive?
His later appearances are more in-line with state POV. Putin has bigger fish to fry.

But the good Colonel is right. Ukraine's army will be a million men equipped, armed and trained by NATO.

If there is one Russian who I do have a lot of respect for its that retired Colonel who despite everything does seem to be trying his best to invoke some realism into the debate in Russia. I am amazed that he is still on TV

He's probably smart enough to avoid stairs and windows...

It looks as if the USA are firmly saying No to the F16

No! The last thing we want is a militarized Canada on our northern border. I remember when their plans to invade were leaked, uhh, shelved a while back.

She's a tool.

The West didn't force Russia into this position, her Imperious leader did.

The West was happily going on about menial things, oblivious about Russia, until Putler launched his special eff-up.

Not really.

There is now and has always been (since the development of the A-bomb/H-bomb) a risk of nuclear war. All it would take is a nut job (or a bunch of nut jobs) in power for the balloon to go up, But there is no more reason to think it will occur now than in the 60s or 70s or 80s etc.

Wasn't that the Nickelback tour?
We've already forced Celine Dion onto them.
