All guess work right now I believe....

"....Russian news agencies, citing a Kremlin source, reported on Sunday that Assad and his family have arrived in Moscow and have been granted asylum by Russian authorities.
The Interfax news agency quoted the unnamed source as saying asylum was granted "on humanitarian grounds." The Kremlin has not confirmed those reports. ...."

I guess we'll know if he made it there when he gets his draft notice.

Yep, now that Assad is no longer in control of a nation that Putin finds useful (the only ports in the Eastern Med.), his days are numbered, since he's excess baggage and a media spotlight.

So now, the voting pool is open - Assad dies from:
1) falling up a flight of stairs and out an open window
2) suicide
3) suicide by pistol, stopping to reload
4) live grenade tossing game with friends
5) sudden heart attack
6) smoking accident
7) drowning incident
8) feeling ill after tea-time

Bonus:
Entire family dies by mysterious blunt-force trauma.

There is sure to be a number of Assad loyalists in Syria. If Ukraine is forced to sign a peace treaty -- not impossible given political events in a number of countries -- Assad could be a useful tool in overthrowing the people who just took over Syria.

Or, Putin may give him back to the rebels in exchange for keeping one or more of his bases in Syria: Tartarus Naval Base on the coast and Khmemim Air Base in the northwest.
