Rather nice looking missile, the FP-5 Flamingo!
Reminds me of the V1!

Wow - my wish for Ukraine to give Moscow a cold xmas is starting to come true already. Enjoy the karma Moscow.

What appears to be the same story without the paywall.

In that case Ukraine has no option but to destroy Russia and refuse to allow any US company to be involved in the restoration of Ukraine to it's pre invasion conditions.

The latest from Mick Ryan, on Trumps latest brain fart. In my opinion anyone with an IQ greater than their shoe size knows that if Russia could not destroy Ukraine in 3 years and 8 months is not going to ever be able to destroy Ukraine. The only reason Putin is needing Trumps support is because Ukraine is now clearly winning this war. Why the American administration is too stupid to see this is beyond me. The fact that Trump is toadying to, and shilling for, Putin shows there is something very very wrong going on.

I wish the USA would make up their ff-ing mind on where they stand. Nobody can work with a country that changes their tone every freaking day. So with all these worrying problems we also have to deal with this. And Europe is just too weak to force anything. What a mess.

Sorry, that's just my frustration speaking with the western world being so powerless…

Do we think Ukraine will ever regain Crimea?
Possibly, clearly this is a guess, but if Putin does fall then there is a good chance that the other republics which have been under Putin's thumb may well try to become independent countries or states. Should that happen then Crimea may well return as part of Ukraine, due to the chaos.

A second possibility is China.
I have always believed that Russia's biggest threat is China. Ukraine is doing a first class job of sucking all the military strength out of Russia in other words doing China's job for them.
Ukraine isn't a serious threat to the state of Russia, in the sense that it really doesn't care if Russia stands or falls, as long as it leaves them alone. It is also trying to take back what was recently taken from them.
China does have the military, financial and political will to take control of large parts of Eastern Russia. Often these parts were taken over by Russia at the end of WW2, and culturally they are more similar to China than (Moscow) Russia which will help China considerably. Financially these areas have been bled dry by Russia with the oil, gas and minerals extracted from their lands, but the money has stayed in Western Russia. They have also paid a far higher cost in lives during the conflict in Ukraine than those in Western Russia.
If China was to make a move with Putin in or out of Power, Russia will have serious problems and hanging on to Crimea, would be the least of their concerns. This would give Ukraine their chance.
In brief, I believe that without the raw materials in the Eastern areas of Russia, Russia as we know it will be finished and both Russia and China know it.

Agreed, sadly. I do think a return to something akin to the pre-2022 borders (see below) is possible in negotiation. Though getting Russia to surrender the land bridge from the Donbass to Crimea will be a hard push. Mariupol, for example has been fully Russia-ized. Maybe Ukraine recognizing the Kerch Bridge and ceding the Donbass in exchange for the return of Ukraine's stolen children?
