South Korea federal law contains prohibitions against supplying lethal aid to any belligerent (currently at war) that is not a member/signatory of an existing mutual defense/support treaty. This law was a reaction to the huge political influence by the South Korean military-industrial complex during the 1950-2010 period - which repressed and stagnated the socio-economic development of the general population. They would have to get enough votes in the National Assembly (~ unicameral congress) to repeal/modify the law and have not been able to do so, hence they have not sent lethal aide to Ukraine.
However, South Korea has consistently supplied non-lethal aid to Ukraine since mid(?)-2022. Since then they have supplied such things as body armour, helmets, and other personal kit (including cold weather gear for 20,000+ men), de-mining equipment, "several thousand" military and civilian grade generator sets, financial aid for humanitarian purposes and infrastructure repair, medical aid in the form of supplies (over 20 tons of equipment) and deployment of medical specialist personnel (ie trauma units) to hospitals in NATO countries supporting Ukraine casualties, and food supplies (over 20,000 tons as of Apr'26), among numerous other items.
To date, South Korea has supplied about $730,000,000 USD to Ukraine in non-lethal aid.
In addition (as GrauGeist pointed out) as of Apr'26 South Korea has earmarked another $100,000,000 USD for further aid to Ukraine - "toward reconstruction projects, humanitarian relief, and infrastructure repair". and is currently considering joining NATO, which if successful would allow them to supply lethal aid to Ukraine via the NATO ring system.
Also, like Japan and Taiwan, South Korea has voluntarily delayed reception of some weapons systems from foreign suppliers, some of which subsequently made their way to Ukraine.
The success of the South Korean SAM system relates (IMO) as it shows another step in progress toward countries being able to effectively deal with drone and ballistic missile warfare, and which may become available to other countries who support Ukraine (eg like the K2 tank to Poland) in the future - which in turn might free up other SAM systems for Ukraine (like the Polish T-72s sent to Ukraine?).
Addition:
South Korea's aid to Ukraine may not seem like much in comparison to what many other countries have contributed, but $730,000,000 turned into equivalent purchase of food stuffs would be enough to feed the entire pre-war population of Ukraine for an entire year - or more.

In one of the disclosed letters, Aviarmont told senior Rostec officials that as of August 2025, Russia was operating about 368 aircraft from the An family, including the An-12, An-26, and An-72, across the Russian Ministry of Defense, the National Guard, and FSB aviation, and that 143 of them required repairs.
The papers point to a problem that goes beyond routine maintenance delays. Aviarmont wrote that "a difficult situation has developed in carrying out major repairs of these aircraft", according to the leaked correspondence cited by Dallas. The same material says Russia's Ministry of Industry and Trade formally confirmed there was no domestic production in Russia of the parts, assemblies, and components needed for An-series aircraft, leaving repair contracts exposed to delays that the company says it cannot solve on its own.
A separate internal report on AO 308 ARZ, the 308th Aircraft Repair Plant in Ivanovo, gives the clearest picture of how serious the problem has become. That report says the plant is unable to carry out repairs on An-family aircraft because "there has been no import substitution of components for An-type aircraft, "the full set of design documentation is absent", and "there is no production of spare parts in Russia". Those three lines, highlighted in the disclosed material, show that the issue is not limited to financing or scheduling. The plant is describing a repair system that no longer has the industrial base, documentation, or replacement parts needed to support aircraft still flying in state service.
