Another Spitfire down !

Hate to see these things happen. So few of these aircraft still flyable today.

Actually, for most aircraft types, the flyable aircraft numbers are increasing, or fairly static. You tend to hear about the accidents, but not so much about the aircraft coming out of restoration/rebuild.

Yep, there's probably more 'warbirds' flying now, than there are RAF fighter/strike squadron aircraft - and that's just in the UK 'circuit' !
