Bird's something else. My first jazz album was his "Greatest Hits", with this song, "Now's the Time", "Leila", and of course others. Coming from a heavy rock background, I struggled to learn how to hear both his swing rhythm and his melodicism. I can hear Charlie Christian in his lines, but he really took it outside. Great pick.
