I picked up this kit for not a lot of money from Freightdog models. It's new old stock it's never been opened but was made in 1998 I think Pegasus was a small one man band operation the sort that have kept the hobby interesting by producing the less well known models. I had vaguely heard of the VG33 but until I did a bit of research I didn't realize how much potential it had. Fully developed and in full production a bit earlier it would have run rings round a Bf109E in 1940.

The sprues are a little wobbly and flashy showing it's made in a shed in the garden origins but with a bit of sanding and filling should be okay. The instructions are hilarious in their brevity, basically glue everything together and paint. Anyone who had never built a model plane would be scratching their heads.

Not sure how to paint it either original first flight in silver dope with no guns. Or 3 colour camo with guns.

The right wing lower is badly twisted, I have glued the top in the right place I will have to let it set and then try to get the lower to fit. The left wing upper is too short so I have glued a strip of 1mm plasticard to wing root and will again let it set and then glue it in place followed by some heavy duty sanding.

This plane has beautiful lines it makes a Spit look like a clunker. It's very reminiscent of the late model Italian inline fighters.

Given it a paint job. As the VG33 never got into service the information on camouflage is a bit vague so I made up my own. It's Frenchish. Still got all the finishing touches to do and I need to see if I have any decals in my spares box as the originals look a bit elderly.
