Thanks all... regrettably the diorama has now had to be removed from the cabinet... as it has started to stink to high heaven... and on sunny days, under glass... not nice!

If a Duck egg is available, the colour would be near enough for the underside of the Spit MkII and Hurricane - a good saving on paint!

You could do a whole collection of types using eggs - Grumman Duck and Goose, Hughes Albatross, Vought Kingfisher, Supermarine Seagull, Flettner Kolibri (Humming bird)... or if you prefer lots of one type, you could do the whole of JV44 Papagai ('parrot') staffel..!
