B-17 flying around here in Colorado

Last year there was a B-25 flying pretty low all summer I think giving rides from Centennial airport. This past weekend it was a B-17. Never had a camera when it flew overhead but what a cool sight to see it flying and hearing the sound of those engines was incredible, I can only imagine what it would of been like seeing a couple hundred flying over head in war time. My dad was in a labor camp in germany in WW2 and he said it was one of the most impressive sights he's ever seen when a mission passed over head..

The B-17 you saw was out of Metro (Jeffco). They were operating from Stevens. I was at the airport on Saturday and saw it as well.

Very cool. I didn't know there were other planes doing this besides the Collings Foundation. Good to know.

Yeah, I caught the Liberty Belle flying out of Cavanaugh (Addison Airport) last year. Very impressive sight!!!

only 430.00 dollars for a ride, probably worth it for a once in a lifetime experience.
