i never thought i would be capable, i figured i'd just ruin the part. But having (somehow) successfully drilled out the 7.9s of the G-4 and the 20 mm and 7.9s on my E-4 in the past… i knew i had to try.
i start with a needle in a pin vise to get a little divot in the center, then enlarge it with my smallest drill bit, then turn a sharp and pointy blade to open it up.
not master class results, but i'm pleased.
forgot to add: i check to see if the needle is centered by turning the barrel on the needle. sometimes it looks centered, until i turn it 90 degrees…
