That first pic is awesome! If I'm not mistaken, they're aircraft of the 17th Pursuit Group which lives on today, after many metamorphoses, as the 17th Training Wing at Goodfellow AFB, TX.
 
Take a close look at the tail numbers. 102, 101.. now look at how they made 100.
 
I remember reading in "Doomed at the Start" an instance of a US pilot getting behind a zero over the Philippines and didn't know how to charge the guns! Oh what could have been, though there is a report of a Pilipino pilot downing a Japanese plane during the invasion.
