Can Someone Identify This Japanese Aircraft?

I Know it might be a little hard to identify, I believe it's a Ki-61. But I want to see what you fellows think.

Everything I have read so far says it was a Ki-61 off Okinawa USS Sangamon.

The first attack which came very close. The second attack hit the middle of the flight deck in the middle.

The KI-61 (pictured) was a near miss.

The aircraft that successfully struck the Sangamon, was a KI-45 Toryu.

Your 4th picture down, shows the KI-61 before AA blew off it's tail, and was taken moments before the photo in the original post.
