It's a Fleetwing Seabird. The interesting thing about this plane was it was stainless steel.

And for getting it right, Joe, you win a big bag full of nothing!

Well done on getting the first one, I think its vague familiarity was what led me to wonder if it was a mongrel

The second one looks very 'Saro', a bit like the Cloud...............er, or the Cutty Sark.

Yes its a Saro Cutty Sark. I was looking at pictures of Saro boats because I had an idea that Saro built a small amphibian. Unfortunately I spent too long looking at the Saro pics and missed my chance of internet fame and glory by 3 minutes
