Old school: in the USA, the 1960 Holden FB would have been considered medium size. The FB 'Special' was slightly more upmarket than the 'Standard' sedan and station wagon, with extra chrome trim externally. This one is dressed up with all the accessories that were made available by GM Holden and other parts shops:

I'm having difficulty remembering that far back, but I recall Ardun made overhead valve conversion kits for the Ford flathead. Way too expensive at the time and were soon eclipsed by Chevvy 265-283 for the many Ford coupes & roadsters around.
