Hustler (Six). By r William Towns.

With those six wheels, only two of which are powered, it's possibly the most pointless car on the planet.
A design exercise in producing a car for cheap motoring (and recycling your rotting Mini). Most were supplied as kits and could be got on the road for under £3,000 in early 1980s money. There were 72 different versions available with either 4 & 6 wheels amongst the approximately 300 sold.

Thought about building one myself back in the day when kit cars were an easy road into motoring. Unfortunately all the rules and regs have largely killed the kit car industry in Europe.

For those wanting a bit more power there was the 6 wheeled 5.3ltr V12 Jaguar engined Hustler Highlander. 8 kits sold, but as with all kit cars, were 8 ever completed?

This was the era of the "wedge" in car design. Towns had previously designed the Lagonda luxury car for Aston Martin and produced from 1974 to 1990, and a couple of citycars.
