I used to drive around in one of those Volvo recce cars around 20 years ago, when still running military-themed Corporate days. Great fun !!

They even made a 8x8 prototype, but the 6x6 was that good they thought that it'd be a waste of money....

8x8 too much. Maybe 6x6, but for "everyday" use, with less complexity, and therefore more general reliability, especially in civilian use, go for the 4x4.
With a good interior layout, to suit personal requirements it would be the bogs' dollocks !!

I'd love one !!
